About OCAF

OCAF was formed prior to the elections of 2004 in order to support progressive candidates. It has continued to work in the community on issues important to all citizens. It is directed by a small core group, open to all, which meets regularly to plan forums and work out actions on issues.

Forum Goals

  • Help make government more accessible and less intimidating to citizens;
  • Identify local, state, and national issues of concern to citizens of Ozaukee County;
  • Create opportunities for community dialogue and action on a variety of social, political, educational, and economic issues;
  • Encourage and involve young people in the democratic process;
  • Call on local, state, and national politicians who represent the citizens of Ozaukee County to be open and accountable for their views and actions as our elected officials;
  • Connect with other community groups in Wisconsin to represent a significant voice on important state and national issues.
